President Obama seems to derive humor from the plight of the American people.

When asked by an employee of a solar panel company if there would be any relief from the soaring cost of gasoline Obama, chuckling as he said it, advised the man to trade in his SUV for a car which gets better mileage. Obama doesn't seem to realize that not everyone is a millionaire as he is. With the price of everything skyrocketing, especially food and fuel this average guy just couldn't afford to buy another car. Or possibly it was just nervous laughter because he doesn't have a clue about how to solve these problems. He doesn't have a clue probably because he listens to idiots like John Kerry who in 2001 ridiculed the idea of drilling for oil in Alaska since it would take ten years before the wells would be producing oil. Now it's 2011 and we sure could use that oil. Will the people of Massachusetts please throw this moron out?

During a recent speech near the border with Mexico Obama, with a straight face, lied when he said the border fence was completed. He then ridiculed those who want a secure border by saying they next would want a moat with alligators in it. He also thought that was funny. Maybe he should ask the family of Robert Krentz if they thought a moat with alligators was a good idea. Krentz was a rancher who was working on his own property when he was gunned down by an illegal alien. Pretty funny Mr. President.

In another incident a group of Border Patrol Agents intercepted a gang of Mexican drug smugglers who were asked to surrender. When the smugglers refuse the agents fired non-lethal beanbags.Beanbags because of the example of Ramos and Compean who were persecuted by federal prosecutor Johnny Sutton, a buddy of George W, and sent to prison for shooting one of these low-life criminals.
After the agents fired beanbags the criminals returned fire with real bullets from guns that were probably obtained from a BATFE program which encouraged multiple gun sales to suspected illegals. Agent Terry was hit and killed by bullets fired from these guns.

That should be good for a belly laugh. Eh, Mr. President?

While Obama finds humor in the plight of the country prices soar and illegal aliens continue to stream across the border taking jobs that should be filled by Americans and burdening our welfare system to the tune of billions of dollars.

Let's get serious,Mr.President. Really finish the fence. Let's get all the domestic petroleum we can. Let's really start using our natural gas to it's fullest potential.

Let's do something for the USA for a change and let the rest of the world shift for itself.

DEBT LIMIT INCREASE=HEROIN

The debate in Washington has now turned to increasing the debt ceiling. If the Republicans go along with raising the limit they are even more stupid than was thought. Giving more money to this bunch of socialists masquerading as Democrats is like giving heroin to a junkie.

This administration will spend whatever increase is enacted and will then come back and ask for more using the same scare tactics of a default.

Maybe I'm not knowledgeable enough on these matters but I'd like to know what is so bad about defaulting? Nobody would ever lend us money again. Good! The politicians would have to run the government on current tax receipts. Good! The budget would instantly be balanced. Good! We would save over $400 billion every year in interest payments which could be used to redeem government bonds held by American citizens. Good!

These may seem like drastic measures but what else will stop the fools in Washington from spending us into slavery.

BETRAYAL AND A THIRD PARTY

With the results of the last election just barely cold the American voter has been betrayed again. We had great hopes that the Republicans had learned their lesson after being soundly trounced in the two previous elections. Now our hopes have been dashed by the deal made with Obama to continue the Bush tax rates.

It's true this deal preserves the lower tax rates for all, including the rich and I have no quarrel with that. It may spur some economic growth.

However, the devil is in the details. Also part of the deal is a tax increase in the inheritance tax from zero to 35%!
Also, the unemployment benefits are extended for an additional 13 months and the Republicans have promised to go along with a continuing resolution to keep spending at 2010 rates for the rest of the fiscal year. This guarantees another $1 trillion+ deficit for our children to wrestle with in the future.

Now this bill is to be voted on in the Senate and of course it is being loaded down with all sorts of earmarks which will swell the deficit created by this monstrosity even more. It may be too late to stop it in the Senate. Contact your Congressman/woman and demand that this deficit bloating bill be rejected.

All of the above means that things haven't changed in Washington. It's business as usual for the big spenders. The Republicans haven't learned. They don't understand "no more deficits." The Democrats do what Democrats do - they spend and tax.

It seems as though the time has come for a third party. The Tea Party movement has made a good start. They should break away from the Republicans and start a party that will faithfully reflect the will of the American people. The time to start building for the next election is NOW! It takes a lot of time to get organized. Perhaps the Tea Party could unite with the Constitution Party which would give a head start with a party structure already in place.

Both major parties have failed us. Let's toss them into the dustbin of history.

NAPOLITANO MUST GO!

When will our politicians get wise to the fact that appointing incompetent political cronies to important posts is not only counter-productive but is an injustice to the taxpayers who pay their exorbitant salaries?

The latest example of this waste of tax money is the appointment of Janet Napolitano to be Secretary of Homeland Security. Not only was she stupid enough to say the system had worked after a terrorist smuggled a bomb onto an airliner but now almost a year later she has had the bad judgment to introduce the latest infringement on our freedom....the fascist-like x-ray or pat-down search at our airports.

Everyday there are reports of outrages committed by the goons of the TSA. A breast cancer survivor forced to remove her prosthesis. A bladder cancer sufferer whose ostomy bag was dislodged causing him to be soaked with his own urine. A five-year-old potential terrorist being frisked and the list goes on and on. No doubt there will be many more in the days ahead unless the powers that be admit this is a mistake and change their procedures.

El Al the Israeli airline is the safest in the world. They haven't had a hijacking since 1968. The stringent security measures taken by the Israelis doesn't include the sort of sexual molestation that is now taking place in American airports. El Al also has a subsidiary company which trains people in the Israeli security techniques. It would be a good idea if our government looked into their program.

A BIG PROBLEM FOR THE GOP

If the Republicans take over at least one house of Congress they will be faced with a tremendous and probably thankless job. Since the House of Representatives writes all revenue bills, which the Republicans are more likely to win, they will have to draw up the 2012 budget. In order to achieve some semblance of order out of the chaos wreaked by the spendthrift Obama administration they will have to make huge cuts.
Many government workers will have to be terminated and whole agencies will have to be eliminated. This will lead some people to be inconvenienced. The Republicans will have to bring home to the people that these steps are necessary to begin to bring our debt crisis into manageable bounds.
To the Republicans I say, "It is not enough to tell people that we will not have a deficit of $1.5 trillion this year it will only be $1 trillion." NOT GOOD ENOUGH! You will have to do better.

WHY I'M VOTING STRAIGHT GOP THIS YEAR

Conventional wisdom says  it's not good to vote a straight party ticket. Generally I agree with that sentiment. This year, however, I intend to vote a straight Republican ticket.

It's not that I'm so enamored of the Republican Party and what it stands for. It's just that I'm so revulsed by the carnage that the Democrats have done to our country in the 18 months that they have controlled both houses of Congress and the presidency that they must be taught a severe lesson. The extreme left wing is in control of the Democrat Party. More moderate Democrats (if there are any) must be made aware that these socialists must be ousted from power and pro-American leaders, as opposed to the anti-Americans who now hold sway, must regain control of the party.

As for the Republicans if they should gain the majority in either or both houses should be reminded that they are on probation. That there is another election in two years. That they can be thrown out just as easily as the Democrats were. That  the good of the country must come before everything else. Before what is good for the Republican Party. Before what will get them re-elected. And even before what is good for their own district or state.
They must balance the budget quickly. Very quickly. To do this Americans will have to bear many hardships. Sharp cuts in spending must be made. If the American people are shown that the hardships are shared by members of Congress they will go along. A good start would be to dispense with private jets for members of Congress including the Speaker of the House.

No matter who is in the majority after the election I intend to contact the leaders of the majority party expressing these sentiments. I hope many others will do the same.

MORE VOTER STUPIDITY

Once again my low opinion of the intelligence of the American voter has been confirmed. The voters of Arizona who are so hot to control the border with Mexico have given victory in the Republican Primary to pro-amnesty John McCain. It's true McCain had a pre-election conversion to advocate for building, "the dang fence" a stance which the stupid voters of Arizona can expect to change back to pro-illegal alien shortly after the election. Granted Hayworth was no bargain but at least he could have been relied upon to vote "No" on amnesty.

Judging by the Arizona results we should now expect to see Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi and even Alan "die quickly"Grayson re-elected in November.

What fools we are.

BALANCE THE BUDGET NOW!!!

Anyone with an ounce of sense should be appalled by the out of control spending which started with George Bush's TARP program and has now escalated to unprecedented heights under President Obama. It's true we have been running deficits for many years, except for a couple of years in the 90's when President Clinton and the Republican controlled Congress balanced the budget, the trillion dollar deficits being run up by the Obama administration cannot continue.

The deficits we are now faced with are unsustainable. In July alone over $160 Billion was added to the deficit. That includes
$20 Billion for interest alone. This cannot go on. Politicians talk about cutting spending but they seldom offer concrete suggestions as to where and what to cut. I'd like to offer some suggestions.These will be drastic in nature because drastic measures must be taken to save the nation and for the good of all citizens of the United States.

First of all foreign aid must go. The entire world has been sucking our blood for over 60 years. It's time they stopped using us as a crutch and took care of their own problems.

All grants to NGO's (non-governent organizations) should be stopped. Charity is not provided for in the Constitution. Some will say this comes under providing for the general welfare. Speaking of Congressional use of the "general welfare" phrase in the preamble a great American said this, "They are not to do anything they please to provide for the general welfare and they as sole judges of the good or evil, it would be also a power to do whatever evil they please." --Thomas Jefferson

Several months ago there were 585 federal government agencies. Since then Obama has established many others. This alone shows that the central government has grown far above what was intended by the Founding Fathers. I'm sure the government could operate just as inefficiently if they were cut down to 85.

Everything left after these measures have been taken, except medical care for wounded veterans, should have their budgets cut by 10%.

Yes, these are drastic measures but they are necessary. It's long past time when the government obeyed the constitution. Our nation will be stronger and more prosperous as a result.

RECOVERY? HOW?

Everyone is wondering when and if the economy will recover. The official unemployment rate is stuck at 9.5%. The actual unemployment rate counting those who have given up looking for work is estimated to be 15.6%.

The question is which industry will pull us out of this slump? Will it be steel? No, most of our steel now comes from places like Brazil and China. Will it be the housing market? There is now so much surplus housing due to foreclosures that there is no cure there. Will it be textiles? No, most of our textiles now come from places like Thailand and Bangladesh. Certainly the auto industry is out because they buy most of their steel from the aforementioned China and Brazil.

The financial news for our country is bad and getting worse. New claims for unemployment insurance this week are 484,000 up 2,000 from last week. The Obama Regime has added $165 Billion to the National Debt in just one month including $20 Billion in interest. The June balance of payments showed $50 Billion going out of the USA to foreign countries much of it for OPEC oil.

What is the cause of all of this dire financial news? In great part it is because of so-called free trade. Our government has allowed us to become entangled in a web of trade agreements guaranteed to ruin our economy. Instead of Congress setting our trade policies as is their duty they have forfeited their constitutional obligation to beaucratic apparatchiks in foreign countries. Before we became entangled in these organizations we were the world's largest creditor. Since we have fallen for the free trade swindle we have become the world's greatest debtor. Which is better to have someone owe you money or to owe someone money. Common sense says the former is better. To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin to owe someone money makes you his slave.

It's time we withdrew form these ruinous agreements and re-instituted a tarrif system to protect our industries. The free traders will call this isolationist. That's nonsense. Any country that wants to trade with us could still do so and vice versa.
Doing so would revitalize our industrial base and make for a more stable economy.

A NEW HIGH IN STUPIDITY

The Senate Finance Committee chaired by Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) finally came out with a proposal for health care reform. This proposal far exceeds the usual level of stupidity that is to be expected from our rulers in Washington.

The reason given for the effort to reform health care was that 25 million people were not covered by health insurance. After laboring mightily for many days this committee came up with a plan that will cost, according to their own estimates, will cost over $900 billion. But guess what? Does it provide for allowing the purchase of health insurance across state lines? No!! Does it address frivolous malpractice suits? No!! Did they do anything about the high cost of prescription drugs? No!! After this huge expenditure this plan would still leave 25 million people uninsured!! So what is the point?

Washington estimates being notoriously unreliable this proposal if adopted will surely cost over a trillion dollars. And where will this trillion come from? Out of the wallets of every person in this country.

How could anyone vote for this ridiculous bill. It accomplishes nothing in regard to improving health care but does a great deal to take money from Americans of all income groups. It also puts decisions on who will get treatment in the hands of government bureaucrats. They may call it by some other name but Gov. Palin was right it's a Death Panel.

If you value your health, your freedom and your money call your representative and your senators and demand that this whole health care scheme be dropped. Not only this Baucus bill but any so-called comprehensive health reform bill. Sure as shootin' they'll mess it up. Separate bills to allow people to buy health insurance in any state in the country, to reduce frivolous malpractice suits and to reduce the cost of prescription drugs will go a long way to reduce health care costs.

Oh yes and rounding up and deporting illegal aliens would also help a lot.

This makes me FURIOUS!!     Don't vote for incumbents!!    Don't vote for lawyers!!

FREEDOM!!!!

Congress, is in the process of trying to enact reform of our medical system in spite of the fact that 80+ per cent of Americans are satisfied with the health coverage they have now. I won't try to go into the details now since the content of the bill hasn't been finalized except to say that like everything that comes out of Washington it will be loaded with regulations and penalties for non-compliance.

I'd like to suggest that what we need is not more regulation but more freedom.

We need the freedom to buy health insurance from any company in the country.
This will bring true competition to the health insurance industry.

We need to free doctors from the menace of frivolous law suits.
The cost of the extra tests run by doctors to protect themselves from malpractice lawsuits is a major factor in the cost of health care.

We need to free the American public from the inequitably high drug prices by passing a law which prevents the pharmaceutical companies from charging more for drugs in the USA than they do in other countries.
I speak from personal experience in this regard. An expensive medication I take was purchased from a Canadian pharmacy for one-fourth the cost. If Canada can have it why can't we?

We need to be free of the millstone that is the use of our health care system by illegal aliens.
If the people in Washington won't enforce our immigration laws we should vote them out of office.
We also need a law that says that a child born in the USA to an illegal alien is not automatically a citizen.

The president and others in the administration have said there is a lot of waste and corruption in Medicare and Medicaid.
No 1000+ page bill is needed to correct this.
The Attorney General should take care of this instead of persecuting CIA interrogators who saved us from countless terror attacks.

I urge everyone to contact their representatives in Congress and tell them not to pass this monstrosity of health care reform.

This makes me FURIOUS!!!

RACISM 2009

It seems that these days if you disagree with President Obama that automatically makes you a racist.
If you tell the truth about a left winger you are a racist.
When Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina shouted, "You lie" during Obama's speech to a joint session of Congress he may have been out of order but he was telling the truth. This brought cries of racism from such diverse quarters as Maureen Dowd the hysterical columnist for the New York Times to Jimmy Carter, the worst president in US history, soon to be superseded by the present occupant of the White House Barak Obama.
Also joining in the chorus crying racism was Rep. Hank Johnson D-GA, bringing up the KKK, who said "people would be putting on white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside." This ignorant dolt should be reminded that if you take off the white hood you will more than likely find a Democrat.
All of these charges of racism are bogus.
Now let's talk about real racism.
In the last election Obama got 98% of the black vote exceeding even the usual 90-95% that goes to Democrat candidates. This is real racism. If 98% of whites had voted for McCain the shouts of racism from left-wingers and their stooges in the main stream media would have lasted for his entire term.
Blacks routinely elect members of their own race to office, where they are in the majority, more often than not to their own detriment. Predominantly black cities such as Detroit and Washington, DC are a shambles thanks to black incompetence and corruption. Barak Obama is leading the country to financial ruin just as his black leftist counterparts have ruined other places where they have been given power.
So let's examine these charges of racism with a more analytical eye. Charges of racism are being used to stifle honest debate  by those who know they have lost the argument. It's time for President Obama to put a stop to this by stating that to disagree with him doesn't denote racism.

To paraphrase Patrick Henry, "If this be racism make the most of it."

CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS = BRIBES

BRIBE - Any gift or emolument used corruptly to influence a person.

Why isn't tort reform in any of the proposed socialized medicine bills now making their way through Congress?

Why haven't our abundant oil resources been developed leaving us at the mercy of antagonistic regimes in the Middle East?

Why are farmers deprived of irrigation water to protect some bottom dwelling junk fish?

Why aren't our borders secured and our immigration laws enforced thereby putting the security of the nation at risk?

The answer to these and many similar questions is bribery of our elected officials by special interest groups.

The most ridiculous of these is the constant blocking of oil drilling by the Democrat Party. This concession to the conservation wackos by the Democrats not only endangers our national security but causes hundreds of billions of our dollars to go to regimes that are antagonistic to us. A good portion of these billions are funneled to terrorist organizations. in effect these billions are going to support our enemies.

The problem is ever increasingly expensive political campaigns. I don't know how much was spent on the last presidential campaign but I do remember that the Obama campaign was reporting contributions in the hundreds of millions. I can foresee a billion dollar presidential campaign in the near future with special interests gaining more and more influence over the winners. The power should be with the people and not the special interests.

The angry protests at town hall meetings are evidence that the average person is tired of having their interests subjugated to the narrow interests of a few groups.

Tort reform is not considered because lawyers give large bribes to the Democrat Party.

Most people want to develop our oil resources but this is denied because  the conservationists give large bribes to the Democrat Party.

Farmers are deprived of irrigation water because of conservationist bribes.

We have an illegal immigrant problem because of bribes given to both parties. The Republicans at the behest of the US Chamber of Commerce want cheap labor mainly from Mexico. The Democrats at the behest of Latino groups are trying to build a voting bloc of people to whom they will give government largess. Both are detrimental to the average American.

The answer to this problem is to limit campaign spending. I have suggested in the past that campaign spending be limited to spending 25 cents for each vote cast in the previous election. So if a 100 million votes was cast in an election spending in the next election would be limited to $25 million. This would also apply to state, county and all other elections. The number of votes cast for a particular office would determine the amount of campaign spending. Any excess contributions would go into the general fund of what ever jurisdiction the election was held in.

If enough citizens get behind such a proposition it could be passed. Any elected official opposing this should be thrown out of office.

AMERICAN ROYALTY

In these times of financial crisis the House of Representatives tried to push through a request to buy eight jets for the personal use of Congressional "dignitaries." These planes would have cost $550 Billion. The purpose of these planes, supposedly, is to transport Congressmen/women on information gathering trips to help in the crafting of legislation and to give insight on foreign policy. This irresponsible expenditure of taxpayer money is just one more instance of the, "Let them eat cake attitude", of the Washington elites. Millions of Americans have lost their jobs but the profligate spending goes on and on. I suppose with the trillions of wasteful spending by the Obama administration the House spendthrifts thought another half billion would hardly be noticed.  Of course, the little known fact about these fact-finding trips is that spouses are allowed to accompany Congressional personnel and that they routinely visit swanky vacation spots around the globe.

Politicians seem to think they are the new royalty. Some new rules must be formulated starting with some for these fact finding trips which are a thinly disguised excuse for taxpayer paid vacation trips.

HEALTH CARE REFORM - LET'S GO SLOW

Congress in it's usual ham-handed fashion has embarked on a course to revamp the entire health care system of the United States. Judging by past performance this is the worst course that could be taken for the large majority of the American people.
 
What should be done is to take reform in easy stages instead of trying to solve a myriad of problems all at once. Especially considering that most members of Congress have difficulty chewing gum and walking at the same time.

First we need tort reform. Doctors must be shielded from frivolous lawsuits which drive up the cost of malpractice insurance and the cost of practicing medicine. At the same time victims of real malpractice must be protected. Of course getting the lawyers in Congress to enact such a law would be a huge undertaking.But public outrage stopped the amnesty for illegal aliens and could also force passage of tort reform.

Second, buyers must be allowed to purchase insurance across state lines. This will finally introduce true competition into the health insurance field.

Third, Illegal aliens must be rounded up and deported. It is estimated that in 2004 it cost the taxpayers of California
 $10.5 Billion in medical care, education expenses and to incarcerate illegal alien criminals. We must also stop the practice of alien women coming across the border to have their babies in American hospitals. In addition to the cost to American taxpayers the baby is an American citizen and under present law and can be the anchor to bring in the rest of the family.The law must be changed so that babies born to illegal aliens are not automatically American citizens.

That should be enough to start with. We should see significant benefits if these proposals are enacted into law. Considering Congress' abysmal record they'll probably screw up at least half of this and have to do it over again. Let's hope practice makes perfect.
