Wanted: A Pro-American President

In light of recent events I would like to redistribute this article which I originally published over two years ago. Comments will be appreciated

WANTED: A PRO-AMERICAN PRESIDENT

What the United States needs at this point in history is a president who puts the welfare of this country before all other considerations. That is a pro-American president.

We need a president who will unleash the full might of the American military in Iraq to bring this costly war to a victorious end. If it means bombing the country into a pile of rubble then so be it. It worked on Germany and Japan and it will work in Iraq.

We need a president who will tell North Korea that if they want to waste their resources on building nuclear weapons, while their people starve, they should go ahead. But if they dare to use nuclear or conventional weapons on anyone we will turn their third rate country into a radioactive wasteland.

We need a president who will tell Iran and Syria to stop interfering in Iraq in any way and to refer to the above paragraph.

We need a president who, if he can't get it through the thick heads in Congress, will declare a national emergency and open all potential oil fields to drilling including the North Slope of Alaska. At the same time we will initiate a crash program to develop alternative energy sources.

We need a president who will tell Federal judges to stop interfering in the right of states to govern themselves. Popular ballot initiatives are routinely declared unconstitutional on the flimsiest of grounds. If these judges can't abide by the Constitution they just might face the danger of having their jobs abolished.

We need a president who will vigorously enforce our immigration laws starting at the Mexican border. Security should be so tight that even a Mexican mouse can't sneak in.

We need a president who will get us out of all international trade organizations. Our trade policies should be decided by congress not by some bureaucrats in Brussels.

We need a president with courage enough to veto all bills containing pork regardless of which party put it in.

There are many other things that a president should do to bring our country up to the high standards that used to prevail. Too many to be listed here and that just shows to what a low state we have sunk.

None of the major candidates of either party comes close to these standards.

This makes me    FURIOUS!!!!
