IDIOTS!

Can the government we now have be any worse?

Our republic is in dire jeopardy of being extinguished and instead of dealing with vital issues our "representatives" are wasting time dealing with what in the long view is trivia.

The House has just passed a bill guaranteeing non-discrimination in employment for sexual deviants.

The Senate, meanwhile, is trying over and over to pass amnesty bills for illegal aliens which are opposed by the vast majority of the American people.

At the same time all of this foolishness is going on the price of oil is rapidly approaching $100 per barrel. Gasoline prices are skyrocketing putting an unbearable strain on the pocketbooks of middle class Americans.

But are our "representatives" doing anything to help the average American? NO!

Instead they are using their time to cater to their narrow special interest groups - homosexuals and illegal aliens.

We have vast untapped oil resources. The Green River area in Colorado and the surrounding states holds an estimated 800 billion barrels of recoverable oil in shale oil. More than there is in Saudi Arabia. That's not even counting the oil in the Alaska National Wildlife Reserve and in offshore deposits. These resources must be exploited if we are ever to become independent of oil from countries which are our enemies.

If these resources are ever put to use we would also need new refineries. No new refineries have been built in this country in over twenty years because of stringent environmental regulations. These regulations must be scrutinized for unnecessarily strict rules and modified to make refinery building a profitable enterprise.

Nuclear power plants should also be encouraged. Nuclear power is the cleanest most cost effective and least polluting source of power. Disposing of spent fuel rods is a problem that continued research will eventually solve.

At the same time a crash program to develop alternate fuel sources should be launched. Will it be hydrogen, ethanol, fuel cells or something else that hasn't even been considered yet I don't know but oil won't last forever.

Our "representatives" aren't even discussing energy policy.

this makes me FURIOUS!!!!
