Was it ever more evident that a new political party is needed in this country? No matter how the rest of the primaries go the American people, in November of 2008, will be faced with candidates who are all in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens. The fact that over 70% of the American people disagree with this position seems not to matter to the leading candidates. So much for representative government.
The country is deep in debt and yet all of the leading candidates are proposing more spending. Senator McCain is proposing the least in new social spending. If my memory serves me correctly less than $10 billion. However, President Bush is proposing to send $30 billion of AIDS relief to Africa which McCain and the two Democrat candidates would undoubtedly endorse or increase. The be-all and end-all of insane spending is the Global Poverty Act of which Senator Obama is the chief sponsor in the Senate. This monstrosity would obligate the American taxpayer to pony up $835 BILLION !!!! to alleviate poverty in other countries. What we are looking at here, Folks, is global Socialism. It is an effort to bring Americans down to the living standards of the rest of the world.
We need a new party which will put the interests of the American people first. The globalists who are now in power in the government seem to put other countries welfare ahead of the United States. Our infrastructure is falling apart (witness the bridge collapse in Minnesota a few months ago) and yet our politicians are squandering our tax dollars in foreign countries.
The country is fast becoming insolvent. We need a party which will have the courage to propose actual cuts in spending not just reduction in the rate of growth.
We need a party which will be vital and active at all times. Not a Naderish party which pops up every four years.
We need a party which can begin by recruiting conservative members of congress and then elect more members as elections come up.
We need Conservatives from both major parties to unite and form a new party which can save our country from ruin.
Lest we forget: 403 days and Ramos and Compean are still languishing in Bush's gulag.
This makes me FURIOUS !!!!!
